Her artistic footprint also extends into popular culture. She was a participant in the inaugural seasons of television music shows like Gandharva Sangeetham and Superstar, long before music-based reality television became mainstream. In the early 2000s—before independent devotional albums became a trend—she released her album, forging her unique path as both performer and creator.

Today, Sreedevi is a beloved teacher and mentor, guiding students across age groups—from young children discovering swaras for the first time, to adults reclaiming a long-forgotten dream. Her teaching style is empathetic, grounded, and uncompromising in its pursuit of quality.

Bysree, for her, is not just a platform—it’s a purpose. It represents her vision to create a nurturing space where passionate learners gain access to top-tier training from acclaimed artists across India, and where talent is not just cultivated, but celebrated. Sreedevi Nair

Founder, Bysree | Vocalist | Mentor | Torchbearer of Tradition

Sreedevi Nair’s journey in music began not on stage—but in spirit. At the tender age of six, her deep-rooted passion for classical music found its expression under the tutelage of renowned gurus including Leelamani Radhakrishnan, Pala C.K. Ramachandran, and currently, Santhosh Kumar. From her first lessons to her ongoing pursuit of artistic refinement, her commitment has remained unwavering: to live the art, and to pass it on.

Throughout her formative years, Sreedevi was a consistent high performer in Kerala’s vibrant cultural circuit. She was awarded the prestigious Kalathilakam title at the CBSE Youth Festival in 1997, an honor recognizing her excellence across multiple art forms, including Kathakali Sangeetham and Carnatic Music. She went on to win the first prize for Kathakali Sangeetham at the All-Kerala Youth Festival in 2003, a testimony to her vocal depth, control, and emotional fluency in this demanding art form.
